I grew up in Massachusetts and have lived in North Carolina, Montana, New York, Rhode Island, Nebraska...and Massachusetts again. I've also lived in Paris, Dublin and Sydney, and traveled independently through Europe, Australia & Southeast Asia. I suppose that because of these journeys, I've become interested in place. I've finished a couple of longer projects and am at work on a novel, a collection of essays, and a series of shorts & quilted images. I'm also always at work on full-sized quilts. For the last five or so years, I've been exploring collaborative and multi-genre work. Before earning an MFA & MA at The University of Montana, I worked in film in New York and as a Contributing Editor & Contributing Writer for Long Island magazines and newspapers. I currently live in Boston and teach undergraduate writing classes. I'm a member & Secretary of the Boston Modern Quilt Guild.
